Experience the Kaya coastal culture walk in the sacred forest. Have a chance to see the endangered species of the flora and fauna. Kaya Kinondo is the only forest open to visitors among the nine tribes along the coast. Ceremonies are centered around the most sacred area of the Kaya especially the burial site for the elderly where they believe the spirits dwell.

Pick up
Day begins from Diani beach to the Kaya forest Departure to the Kaya forest can be in the morning from 10.00am or in the afternoons from 3.00pm. These are the cooler times of the morning and afternoon where temperatures are not too hot. Pick you up from your hotel or villa and drive you to the entrance for the Kaya. From here the Kaya guide takes over and you will have a guided tour of the forest for the next 2 hours.
Tour
Embark on a guided walking tour in the forest for a glimpse of the way of life of the local community. Learn about their beliefs, herbs and much more. The forest is a viewed sacred by the local community and should be accorded the respect you would give to other places of worship like mosques and churches.

One can pre-book a traditional dance session at an extra cost which is normally performed after the walk. Drinks and refreshment is served after the walk, then you will be driven back to your accommodation place.
