Tour Overview

Pick up from the hotel at 09.00am and head to Ukunda. The tour will slowly go through the village, we will have a stop over at a local primary school, guests will have experience of interacting with the children at the school. We then head to local 'snake park' guests can see the different types of reptiles,tortoises and learn about the local ulture. We then head to the botanical gardens where are different species of trees and plants. You will learn about their medicinal values and the beliefs associated with different plants in accordance with the Digo culture. Bottled water, Madafu and seasonal fruits like bananas or mangoes are served. We will then walk back through the market where guests can do a bit of shopping, then head back to the hotel at around noon. This whole tour tour lasts 5-6 hours depending on the number of persons in the group.
