Day Itinerary
15:00 – Hotel Pick-Up
After lunch, your driver will collect you from your hotel on the south coast. Settle in for a comfortable drive to Mombasa Island, crossing the Likoni Ferry and enjoying views of the bustling city and coastline.
16:00 – Guided Tour of Fort Jesus
Arrive at the iconic Fort Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. With a local guide, explore the fort’s fascinating history, ancient ramparts, and museum exhibits that showcase Mombasa’s multicultural past. 17:30 – Transfer to Tamarind Jetty

18:30 – Board the Tamarind Dhow & Welcome Cocktail
Step aboard the beautifully restored Swahili dhow, Nawalilkher, and be greeted by the crew in traditional attire. Enjoy a complimentary “Dawa” cocktail (vodka, lime, honey, sugar, and crushed ice) or a non-alcoholic beverage as the dhow sets sail along Tudor Creek, offering stunning sunset views of Mombasa’s skyline and Old Town
19:00 – Dinner & Entertainment on the Water
As the dhow glides to a quiet mooring spot, indulge in a freshly prepared four-course seafood dinner, featuring Swahili-inspired dishes such as grilled lobster, fish, steak, and vegetarian options. The resident live band provides a lively soundtrack, playing everything from the latest hits to golden oldies, creating a festive and romantic atmosphere under the stars.
21:30 – Return Cruise & Dancing
After dinner, enjoy coffee or tea as the dhow gently sails back toward the jetty. Take to the dance floor or simply relax and soak in the twinkling city lights and cool evening breeze. Disembark at Tamarind Jetty Arrive back at the jetty, where your driver will be waiting.
23:00 – Drop-Off at Your Hotel
Journey back to the south coast, arriving at your hotel around 11:00 PM, with memories of a magical evening on the Indian Ocean.
