Day Itinerary
Hotel Pick-up (Diani Beach)
Begin your adventure with a hotel pick-up from your accommodation in Diani Beach at 8:00 AM. Make sure you're prepared for a full day of exploration! Travel to Bodo: The journey to Bodo takes approximately 40 minutes, passing through the scenic Shirazi Village. Enjoy the views as you head towards the boat launch point.
Boat Ride
Once you arrive in Bodo village, you’ll board a boat that will take you on a tranquil motorized canoe ride up the Ramisi River. As you glide along the river, keep your eyes peeled for a variety of bird species, the lush, green mangrove forests that line the riverbanks and in some occasion crocodiles basking in the sun. Depending on the tide, the boat may stop at a sandbank, a perfect place to stretch your legs, enjoy the serenity, and even take a swim in the ocean. Don’t forget your sunscreen, towel, and beach sandals for a comfortable break.
Lunch
After swimming, head to Funzi Island, where you’ll enjoy a fresh seafood meal. The menu includes grilled fish, crab, and coconut rice, or you can opt for chicken or beef if you prefer non-seafood dishes. Vegetarian options are available as well on prior request when booking the tour.
Return
After a relaxing lunch, you’ll board the boat for the return trip back to the mainland. Once you reach Bodo, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Diani Beach. End of Tour: Your memorable day of exploration and relaxation ends with drop-off at your hotel around 3:00 PM, leaving you with plenty of time to unwind after your adventure.
