Yes, there is a chance to see dolphins in Diani. Dolphins can be seen as single individuals or mostly in pods of 2-25 individuals breaking above the waves. The tour begins with pick up from your hotel, cottage or villa at 08:00am. You’ll be transferred to the departure point then begin your ride on a speed boat to the spotting area just outside the reef.
It’s preferable if you can swim as the ride takes you into the open ocean. When dolphins are spotted, you be allowed to get into the water and snorkel. Enjoy your time swimming with dolphins but please don’t touch them. Snorkeling time takes about 1 hour then back on board, you can refresh yourself with fruits and water.
Shortly afterwards you’ll be taken back to the drop off point at around 01:00 pm and transferred back to the hotel, cottage or villa.
Departures are based on minimum numbers in the boat (4 pax minimum).
